Define Liability Import Fields
Explanation
This activity is used to define fields and data
in a text file which will be imported into a document so that the liability
data can be used and processed in the system automatically. Defining fields for
the liability import ensures that the correct data is introduced to the
system for further processing as there is no need to enter the data manually.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity, a liability
import header is required to be registered in the system.

Procedure

Open the Deduction Import window
and find a liability import header for which you want to define import fields.

Go to the Definition tab and create a new
record in order to start a field definition.

In the Column Identity field, specify an
id of the column from the text file which should be imported.

If the import is from a flat file, specify the
beginning of the data string for import in the Column Id field.

Define the data length for the column in the
Data Length field.

Save the information.
